The Dermatology Department at SMCRI offers a full spectrum of services related to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of various skin, hair, and nail conditions. Our services include:

General Dermatology

• Acne and Acne Scars: Diagnosis and treatment of acne vulgaris and acne scars, including topical medications, oral therapies, and advanced treatments like chemical peels and laser therapy.
• Eczema & Dermatitis: Management of chronic inflammatory skin conditions like atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, and seborrheic dermatitis with medication, lifestyle changes, and skin care advice.
• Psoriasis: Treatment of psoriasis, including topical treatments, phototherapy (UVB therapy), systemic medications, and biologics for severe cases.
• Fungal Infections: Diagnosis and management of fungal infections such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, and nail fungal infections, using topical and oral antifungal therapies.

Hair and Scalp Disorders

• Hair Loss (Alopecia): Evaluation and management of different types of hair loss, including male and female pattern baldness, alopecia areata, and telogen effluvium. Treatment options include topical minoxidil, oral finasteride, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, and hair transplant services.
• Dandruff and Seborrheic Dermatitis: Treatment for common scalp conditions like dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, and scalp psoriasis using medicated shampoos, topical treatments, and lifestyle modifications.
• Scalp Infections: Management of scalp infections such as fungal infections, folliculitis, and parasitic infestations like lice or scabies.

Nail Disorders

• Fungal Nail Infections: Diagnosis and treatment of onychomycosis (fungal nail infections) with antifungal creams, oral medications, and laser therapy.
• Ingrown Nails: Surgical treatment and conservative management of ingrown toenails and painful nail conditions.
• Nail Psoriasis and Other Nail Diseases: Treatment of psoriasis and other nail conditions like nail dystrophy, clubbing, and brittle nails.

Cosmetic Dermatology

  1. Laser Hair Removal: Safe and effective hair removal for both men and women using advanced laser technology.
  2. Tattoo Removal: Removal of tattoos through laser technology for safe and effective results.
  3. Pigmentation Treatment: Use of laser therapies for the treatment of sun spots, age spots, and melasma (hyperpigmentation).
  4. Scar Reduction: Treatments for scar management, including laser therapy for hypertrophic and keloid scars.
  5. Skin Rejuvenation: Procedures like fractional CO2 laser for skin tightening, wrinkle reduction, and improving overall skin texture.
