District-Level Training of Hub Sites on Pediatric TB Guidelines under the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP)

The Department of Pediatrics, Siddaganga Medical College & Research Institute (SMCRI),
in collaboration with the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP), SVYM, SAATHII,
and the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP), Tumakuru Branch, successfully organized
the District-Level Training of Hub Sites on Pediatric TB Guidelines
on 16 June 2026.
The programme commenced with participant registration and a pre-test, followed by
the welcome address by Dr. Kumar G. V., Professor and Head,
Department of Pediatrics, SMCRI. He welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members,
and participants and emphasized the importance of strengthening the diagnosis
and management of childhood tuberculosis.
The inaugural session was graced by Dr. Shalini M., Principal, SMCRI;
Dr. Niranjan Murthy, Medical Superintendent, SMCRI;
Dr. Mohan Das, District TB Coordinator; and
Dr. Sri Ram Chandramohan, National Program Specialist,
Integrated Paediatric TB Project, SAATHII.
The dignitaries addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of early
diagnosis, adherence to the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP) guidelines,
and collaborative efforts toward achieving the goal of TB elimination.
